September saw the return of Scootember, our annual scooter festival celebrating the joy of scooting.
Scootember 2021 was a huge success, with 15 schools and more than 450 children taking part. Our dedicated team of road safety trainers visited schools all over Leeds to teach essential scooter and road safety skills. This includes how to scoot, steer and brake safely and how to cross the road with a scooter.
Thanks to everybody who got involved, we loved your enthusiasm! To see what we got up to, watch our road safety trainers in action at Holy Trinity Rothwell C of E Primary.
Scooting to school is a great way to get some exercise, reduce traffic outside the school gates and improve air quality for the local community. It’s a fun, cheap mode of transport and family-friendly activity.
After taking part in scooter training, we hope your children will feel confident and safe to scoot to school, the local park or anywhere they want to go. To learn more about our scooter, pedestrian and road safety training visit https://bit.ly/ScooterTraining
