This year’s Scootember, our annual scooter festival, was a huge success with 15 schools and more than 450 children taking part!
Throughout September, our dedicated team of road safety trainers visited schools all over Leeds to teach essential scooter skills, including how to steer, brake and cross the road safely. Additionally, we installed new scooter storage in schools and organised Park & Glide events.
Thanks to everybody who got involved, we loved your enthusiasm.
Scooting to school is a great way to get some exercise, reduce traffic outside the school gates and improve air quality for the local community. It’s a sustainable, cheap mode of transport and fun activity.
After taking part in scooter training, we hope your children will feel confident using a scooter to travel to school, the local park or anywhere they want to go. To learn more about our scooter, pedestrian and road safety training visit https://bit.ly/ScooterTraining
