Businesses: have your say on the draft Connecting Leeds Transport Strategy

The draft Connecting Leeds Transport Strategy is open for anyone to read and comment on. If you are a business or travel plan consultant, though, you may have particular expertise to share, and so we urge you take a look and let us know what you think.

The draft strategy sets out the vision for Leeds to be a city where you don’t need a car, where everyone has an affordable zero carbon choice in how they travel, including to, from and for work. It details how Leeds City Council proposes to meet its overarching objectives of tackling climate change, delivering inclusive growth and improving health and wellbeing.

The strategy also outlines six ‘Big Moves’. These will form the focus areas, alongside further measures that need to be considered in order to meet our Climate Emergency target.

You can read the draft strategy and executive summary on the Commonplace site. The consultation is now live and runs until Friday 5 March 2021.

We would be grateful if you could share this widely as appropriate with your colleagues and partner agencies. You may also wish to include a link to the consultation in your next Travel Plan Network newsletter.

We look forward to hearing what the business community has to say.
